The weather was perfect, it wasn’t too hot, it was sunny and was just beautiful. My friends Rochelle and Miodrag exchanged vows at the Cherry Hill area in central park in front of their close friends and family. The reception followed at the Arsenal Rooftop. It was so much fun, cool and casual.
Rochelle wanted a modern Filipiniana wedding dress yet still a touch traditional. She likes architectural silhouettes yet still feminine. I designed her a couple of wedding dresses and she loved this one with the layered skirt. She matched it with a Melissa bubblegum scented shoes by Vivenne Westwoord which I think looked so cute! The food was hearty and it includes a traditional filipino lechon~ pictured above.

A few weeks back Christina Perri was an unsung gem waiting to be discovered. Now after her song “Jar of Hearts” was featured on the show ‘So You Think You Can Dance” her breakup song catapulted into the billboard charts and quickly sold more than 100,000 thousand copies. It was an overnight success. it’s only been a few weeks and reality hasn’t sunk in, but she quit her day job waiting tables at The Melrose Café and though still unsigned at this point, after performing at several popular TV shows it will only be a matter of time before some big record label ask her to sign the magic paper.
Like all those 100,000 people who bought her song I love love love it too! She has an angelic voice and eyes and seem pretty cool. I can’t wait to hear more from her. All I want to do right now is spend my day in a rustic cottage in the mountain far far away from the hustle and bustle of the city.. Enjoy nice …well ‘rustic’ food and just relax, enjoy nature, listen to some lykke li, sia or mazzy star music, maybe try to play the guitar and listen to the birds sing or the crickets!
